Blustery Tahoe Engagement Session | Sacramento Wedding Photography

One of the best parts of being a Sacramento photographer is that we are only 2 hours from just about everything... whether its the Golden Gate Bridge, Napa and Sonoma wineries, or even Lake Tahoe! What other place has this much versatility?! This amazing couple asked us a while ago if we would be up for a shoot in Tahoe, and who would we be to say no!?

They scouted out a state park called Sand Harbor, which had some amazing boulders, and great views of the lake!! Being February, it was pretty chilly, but we were able to get some great shots of the water raging, as well as some dramatic clouds rolling in!

This sign is one of my favorites, so cute and Brittany made it herself!! We love crafty brides, near and dear to our hearts, having our own DIY wedding almost 7 years ago!!

These two are so cute, high school sweethearts,  which just adds to their story, you have gotta love when a story runs that deep!! Brittany even told us that Taylor took his design for this ring to multiple jewelers to find something similar and ended up having it custom made because it was such a rare idea! LOVE that!!

Lets just pause for a moment and talk about this dip... with those boulders... and that sky. I cant even, it was perfect!

All in all this was a great shoot!! Super fun and I think we were able to capture the Tahoe mountains in their best form, capped with a little snow and showcasing the blue lake at the same time! These two are so perfect together, they made our job look effortless!!

Until next time, Lake Tahoe... !
